The tiny nation of Benin lies between Togo, Nigeria, Niger and Burkina Faso. It is known as the birthplace of voodoo and is the seat of one of West Africa’s most powerful kingdoms. Despite its size, Benin is a country full of attractions and a vibrant atmosphere. The fetish markets, voodoo culture, stilt villages, mud fortresses and remnants of the slave trading culture are all highlights in this fascinating country.
