Iceland
Iceland is the most sparsely populated country in Europe with an average of about three inhabitants per square kilometre. It is an island of contrasts, fire and ice, where glaciers and erupting volcanoes live side by side. The island is dotted with waterfalls, geysers, volcanos, glacier rivers and lagoons – everywhere you look, the landscape is jagged, dramatic and spectacular.
