Peregrine Adventures

Maria Island Walk (4 Days)

Cast off to an island where peak-hour traffic is a line of little penguins emerging from the sea. Our walk on Maria Island is a rare opportunity to take a break from everyday life. We amble along pristine beaches, hike through blue-gum forests, and climb Mt Maria for breathtaking views of the whole island and Tasmania’s Eastern coastline. We stay in private wilderness camps where our guides prepare gourmet meals, served with a selection of delicious Tasmanian wines. After four days of relaxation on this beautiful secluded island you’ll be ready to attack the “real world” again.

Itinerary

Day 1 Morning pick up in Hobart, your boat transfer to Maria Island lands on an untouched beach, with an afternoon walk amongst the granite outcrops of Haunted bay.
Day 2 'Five beaches day' – stroll and swim as five sparkling beaches unfold before you, overnighting at White Gums Camp.
Day 3 View birds and wildlife in the forest as we head inland to the summit of Mt Maria or Bishop and Clerk for 360-degree views of the island.
Day 4 A leisurely morning circuit walk amongst convict ruins, followed by a champagne lunch before transferring back to Hobart.
