Most of the year is fine somewhere in Australia, so there will always be somewhere to visit at any time of year. Spring and autumn are good ‘all-rounder’ seasons for both Australia and New Zealand. Winter in New Zealand is an excellent time for skiing, or to visit the glaciers of the south island, in the areas that receive little winter rainfall.
