China
There are no times of the year when weather conditions prevent travel in China. Summers (June and July) have a greater chance of rain. They are hot and humid in Xian, Shanghai and Guilin, and cooler in northern Yunnan and Sichuan. Winter days are usually crisp, sunny and dry. There is snow in most of northern China (Beijing can get below 0°C) but the south is warmer.

Mongolia
Far from the sea, this country has extremes in climate. The weather is suitable for travel from June to September.
