Important Information

This adventure is of an expeditionary nature that takes us to places where infrastructures may not be what we are used to at home. In certain places we will be required to stay in very basic hotel accommodation. Rooms will have private facilities; however, there may be occasions where hot water is not available. Please note that laundry services may not always be available. A degree of flexibility, a tolerant approach and an adventurous attitude will help maximise your enjoyment of this trip.

Road Conditions and Infrastructure in Africa
Roads in Africa are often in very poor condition, which makes it hard on vehicles. Our vehicles are serviced regularly and are generally in good condition, but breakdowns can and do happen. The infrastructure in Africa is not always what we are used to and travelling on their roads can sometimes be very bumpy experiences. The travelling times indicated in our Trip Notes is just a rough guide and is dependent on various factors that may be outside our control, such as road conditions, weather and time spent at borders.

Drive Times

The travel times listed in the day to day itinerary are a guide only. Please be aware that delays may occur and please be patient - it's all part of the experience afterall! The times indicated are an approximate time that you will spend in the vehicle (excluding game drives as these can vary with each departure). This does not mean that if you leave at 7am from point A and it's a 3 hour drive that you will reach point B at 10am. Due to the many inclusions in this tour, you will be constantly stopping and visiting different sights and this may mean that you will not arrive at your hotel until much later in the day.

Luggage Allowance
Please keep your luggage to a minimum. One small soft-sided bag plus a day pack (no more than 15-20kgs per person) is essential - NO HARD CASE SUITCASES.
Flights
As an arrival transfer is included, please ensure the correct details are provided to Peregrine prior to your departure. A representative will then meet you at Ouagadougou International Airport on arrival. An evening departure transfer is included from Peregrine's Accra hotel to Accra's Kotoka International Airport. Please ensure you do not book flights to depart Accra prior to 5pm this evening. Please ensure correct flight details are provided to Peregrine prior to your departure.

ITINERARY DISCLAIMER:

Occasionally our itineraries are updated during the year to incorporate improvements deriving from past travellers' and local operator feedback. The information given in this itinerary may differ slightly to that in the brochure. It's imperative that you print and review a final copy of your itinerary a couple of days prior to travel, in case there have been changes that affect your plans. For the latest updated itinerary please visit our website: www.peregrineadventures.com Please note that while we operate successful trips in this region throughout the year, some of the changes that may occur in our itineraries could be due to inclement weather and common seasonal changes to timetables and transportation. This can happen with little notice so please be prepared for the chance of possible modifications to the trip en-route.
