Kenya Family Safari

In colourful Nairobi, we check out the fantastic African crafts at the local market, feed the giraffes at the Giraffe Manor and spend time with orphaned elephants at the elephant orphanage. Heading to the Rift Valley lakes, we hope to see the thousands of pink flamingos, which create a colourful carpet across the water surface. At Lake Nakuru our game drives take in a vast amount of bird life and hopefully white rhino, while at Lake Naivasha we'll go for a boat ride looking for hippos. We'll spend two full days in the spectacular grasslands of the Masai Mara watching for plains game - wildebeest, zebra and gazelle - closely followed by the predators - lion, hyena, cheetah and the elusive leopard. If you would like a few days rest and relaxation, why not add a Zanzibar Beach Break after your safari?

the people we met on our travels through kenya and tanzania were beautiful..it made me feel very humble that these people had so little{materially} and yet were always smiling. The people in samburu haven't had rain for over 2 years and very little for their stock to eat, but they keep smiling and made us so welcome when we visited their village.

the drivers we had both in Kenya and Tanzania were sensational...we were very impressed. the accommodation was great..a wonderful experience all round..particularly the girls at Nukuru,,absolutely gorgeous.Unfortunately we all got the flu...7 of us in one car, but managed to survive..I spent the whole time on antibiotics, but guess thats all part of travelling!!
