    Itinerary

    Day 1 - Kigali

    Mwaramutse Rwanda! Transfer to your hotel, and explore on your own for the afternoon. Take time to explore the city then relax with a drink as the setting sun rolls over the hills of Rwanda.

    Day 2 - Kigali ~ Ruhengeri

    Begin your day with a poignant visit to the Genocide Memorial. Later visit the wonderful Ineza Cooperative, a women’s sewing collective where you can buy socially responsible textiles, handbags and accessories. Take a scenic afternoon drive takes us to the gorilla trekking base at Ruhengeri.

    Day 3 - Gorilla trek

    Trek to see the highly endangered mountain gorillas for an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime. Return to your beautiful eco-lodge, perched high on a ridge overlooking the Virunga Mountains, to celebrate your once-in-a-lifetime encounter and relive the day’s activities. Watch the sun go down and toast the end of an incredible day.

    Day 4 - Optional trek ~ Kigali

    TToday choose to trek to see the golden monkeys, re~visit the gorillas, or take a trip to the Dian Fossey Memorial (all additional costs). Swap stories with your travel companions over tonight’s dinner at a local restaurant.

    Day 5 - Kigali

    Enjoy a hearty breakfast and then it’s time to say goodbye to Rwanda. You will be transferred to Kigali airport where your trip comes to an end.
