South African Footprints

This adventure, in one of the world's most culturally diverse nations, showcases the proud Zulu and Shangaan traditions as well as the important historic battles that helped define modern day South Africa. We spend time in the culturally-rich Kingdom of Swaziland and absorb the soaring beauty of the mountainous Drakensberg landscape. Staying in an atmospheric lodge in Greater Kruger National Park, we hope to encounter many of Africa's famous wildlife – including the 'Big Five' – over three unforgettable days. We drive around the picturesque Blyde River Canyon, cruise the tranquil waters of the St Lucia Wetlands and end our adventure in the vibrant coastal city of Durban.

| 3-4 | Morning game drives, game walks and afternoon/night drives. Opportunity to sleep in a remote treehouse by a waterhole. |
| 5 | Explore Blyde River Canyon. |
| 6-7 | Enter the colourful Kingdom of Swaziland. Rhino walk and afternoon cultural tour in Hlane Royal National Park. |
| 8 | Visit craft market. Travel to the World Heritage listed St Lucia Wetlands. Afternoon boat cruise. |
| 9 | Learn of South Africa's colonial history at the battle sites of Rorke's Drift and Blood River. Visit a traditional Zulu village. |
| 10-11 | Travel to the stunning Drakensberg Mountains. Enjoy a drink at the highest pub in Africa in Lesotho, by way of the dramatic Sani Pass. |
| 12 | Continue to the port city of Durban where our tour ends on arrival (Thu). |
