Greenland (Arctic)

The frozen wilds of Greenland are nature at its stark, magisterial best. Crossing Baffin Bay, looking for whales, picking out polar bears amidst the ice floes and frigid land; sea birds resting or gliding overhead – the wildlife around Greenland’s pristine coast can be unforgettable, as is the natural landscape. Icebergs rule the waters here, the Jakobshavn Glacier calving off vast chunks that stud the waters all around you. And of all of Greenland’s treasures, perhaps seeing the grandeur of Sondre Stromfjord will be the most memorable, the longest fjord in the world.
