Tassie Highlands

Nestled in the highlands of Tasmania's ancient wilderness, the Walls of Jerusalem National Park features stunning examples of the Central Plateau’s history. Trek amongst countless exquisite glacially carved lakes and mountains, striking 300m dolerite cliffs (the Walls), and through thick forests of ancient pencil pines, beech or eucalypt. Features such as Solomons Jewels, the Temple, Mt Jerusalem and Solomon's Throne appropriately portray grand images of biblical proportions.
Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park offers a host of walking opportunities against the spectacular backdrop of jagged mountain peaks and pristine alpine lakes. Choose from gentle circuit routes to a challenging mountain climb.
Heading into the unspoilt Tarkine Wilderness Area, we encounter dramatic coastlines and lush temperate rainforests that offer different, yet equally fascinating terrains for walking, showcasing the richness and diversity of the wilderness in the remote north-west. A visit to Philosophers falls and a cruise along the Pieman River will enhance your viewing of the region. We return to Launceston via the beautiful Western Explorer route, Arthur River and Stanley. This adventure captures the essence of what makes Tasmania such a wonderful place to explore.
