Every place Peregrine visits is special. By conducting our operations within our Responsible Travel and Corporate Social Responsibility policy, we aim to keep them that way. We also carry this policy through to the day-to-day of our head office in Melbourne, Australia. In 2002, our Peregreen team was established to monitor and improve our sustainability and performance. It now meets every month, with members from every department involved as part of their regular workload.
The Peregreenies ensure our offices maintain effective waste, energy and recycling management programs. We use 100% green energy and our staff flights and company car carbon emissions are offset with gold-standard schemes. Almost all of us walk, cycle or catch public transport to work...
We try and have a bit of fun too, while raising funds for worthy causes: money raised from our weekly Friday Jeans Day goes to our Peregrine Community Trust and we hold regular events to raise funds for the trust, including highly competitive baking competitions and in-office trash and treasure markets.
Paddy Scott, our esteemed E-marketing Manager, bakes a mean brownie of just the right consistency and concentration of cocoa…yet he was tipped for the top spot at our last tasting event through the joint-effort of Private Groups consultant Amanda Bourne and Africa Operations extraordinaire Kate Croucher – their Bailey’s ripple cake was a taste bud tantalizer to beat all comers.
