Iceland
Visiting Iceland? Why not be a part of Mi?næturhlaup, otherwise known as the Midnight Run? It kicks off at 10:00pm with 3 kilometre, 5 kilometre and 10 kilometre options.

What makes this race so special? Well, it takes place in full daylight, but at 10:00pm! What the?! The race takes place under the midnight sun and participants are invited to unwind following the race in the Laugardalslaug swimming pool and hot pots.

The course includes two loops that will take you past a sports complex, the Reykjavik Zoo and a botanical area. It  is also a great way to mingle with Icelanders and other Europeans taking part.

Running has become a very popular sport in Iceland and many running clubs now train all year around.  The weather in Iceland is ideal for running as it's never too hot and never too cold!

Antarctica
Take your Antarctic adventure to the next level this year, and celebrate the 100-year anniversary of man reaching the South Pole.

Antarctic Ice Marathon races are the only footraces within the Antarctic Circle. The race takes place at 80 Degrees South, a few hundred miles from the South Pole at the foot of the Ellsworth Mountains. This race presents a true Antarctic challenge.

With underfoot conditions comprising snow and ice throughout and an average wind chill temperature of -20C any adventurer will have their work cut out for them. And not to mention the event takes place at an altitude of 3,000 feet!

Kenya
What better way to experience Africa than in a race? The Safaricom Marathon is held on Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya. The race is the world’s only running safari, and is unique as participants get to run and race through the African bush and wildlife park.

Not only is it stacks of fun, the marathon is held for a worthy cause. Since its commencement in 2000 the event has raised over one million dollars for a range of projects in Kenya.

Thailand
For a race that will get your heart pumping head to Chonburi, Thailand. This place is famous for its buffalo races. The water buffalo has always played a significant role in agriculture in Thailand. In this yearly event, the animals are seen in more unusual and entertaining ways than ploughing fields. They take part in buffalo races and contests pitting buffalo against man.
