Why we love this trip

  • The Jaipur Literature festival is one of the biggest in the world. Spend four days attending literary events and exploring the city as it explodes with international and local writers, poets and book lovers.

  • Glide over the Pink City of Jaipur on an optional hot air balloon ride as the rest of the world wakes up to a new day far below.

  • Explore the hidden gem of Bundi, an ancient city famous for its elaborate step-wells, and learn from a local guide how it inspired the work of literary great Rudyard Kipling.

  • Stalk rare tigers on safari through Ranthambhore National Park, home to jungle-eaten temples, lush greenery and plenty of other wildlife.

  • It may be one of the most-photographed buildings in the world, but the Taj Mahal feels like poetry to even the most weary of travellers.

  • Please see https://jaipurliteraturefestival.org/ for a list of speakers and events at the 2017 festival.

Itinerary

Welcome to India! Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you'll be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Your rep will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall, which you'll find after passing through the customs area beyond the travel desks and exchange counters. Look out for the Peregrine signboard. The drive from the airport to the hotel is around 45 minutes. Most flights arrive into Delhi in the late evening, so there are no activities arranged for today.
