Germany
Germany sits right in the heart of the continent of Europe and with nine European borders it has a right to claim to be 'uber' European. With a population of over 80 million and a robust, powerful economy, it's a pulsating country. With a history of two 20th century wars, its probably not surprising that Germany's modern day culture is progressive. Solidly democratic, Germany has been a driving force behind European integration.
Germans are renowned for their precision and their transport systems are exceptional. Their cycling routes are no exception. Wherever you go, make sure you sample some of the local beers. German beer is up there with the best.
