    Itinerary

    Day 1 - Madrid

    A private transfer takes you to your hotel, the Hotel Preciados. It is housed in a 19th century building in the heart of the Latina district, and your afternoon is free to explore before dinner this evening.

    Day 2 - Madrid ~ Seville

    Work up an appetite at the Prado Museum, Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor before lunch at the tapas bars of San Miguel market. Take the train to Seville and settle into your accommodation. Spend the afternoon exploring this flamboyant city before watching it come alive after dark.

    Day 3 - Seville

    A walking tour reveals many of Seville's finest sights, including Alcazar Palace ~ one of the country’s most impressive monuments. During your free afternoon we recommend visiting Seville Cathedral and Giralda Tower. Come together for dinner and join the locals at a traditional flamenco show.

    Day 4 - Jerez

    Jerez is renowned for its beautiful wines, so you’ll stop at a bodega to discover how sherry vinegar and Jerez Brandy are made. You'll taste exclusive varieties not normally available to the public. Afterwards visit a much smaller family bodega and taste fine wines unknown to all except a few select connoisseurs. Return to Seville where the rest of the evening is at leisure.

    Day 5 - Rhonda ~ Tolox

    Rhonda is one of Spain's oldest towns, dating back to the 9th century BC. Stop here this morning to learn the art of eating tapas. Continue towards Tolox and check into the Hotel Cerrode Hijar, set high on the eastern flank of the Sierra de las Nieves National Park. The day is yours to wander down the hill for a spa treatment or yoga session or simply relax by the pool.

    Day 6 - Tolox

    Explore the Sierra de las Nieves Biosphere Reserve on foot and return mid-morning for an exceptional cooking class. Resident chef Martin trained at Malaga’s top cookery school before refining his art at one of the few Andalucían restaurants to have earned a Michelin star. Learn how to make the perfect paella before enjoying the fruits of your labour.

    Day 7 - Granada

    After breakfast continue to the former Moorish stronghold of Granada. Walk through the historic Christian cathedral district and witness the Moorish influence firsthand. There is an optional self-guided tour of Granada Cathedral or you can simply wander through the Moroccan souk.

    Day 8 - Alhambra Palace

    Dating back to the 11th century, Alhambra Palace will challenge your visual senses with its dominating red fortress towers, sumptuous palace decor, multitude of architectural styles and magnificent gardens. Tonight you’ll head to the heart of Granada's El Albayzin Quarter with its flamenco taverns for dinner.
