Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Phnom Penh

Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Phnom Penh

Swirl and sip your G&T beneath the high ceilings and languid fans of the Foreign Correspondents Club in Phnom Penh and you might consider the myriad turbulent shifts throughout the country’s history. The FCC has always been a great place for travellers to unwind, though in the past it was where linen-suited gentleman plotted plantations and mines, and ex-pat journalist shared months-old news from home or about the B-52s bombing Hanoi. There are regular photographic exhibitions and a great view of the river, but it’s the contrast between the opulence inside and the bustle outside that’s most striking.
