The glaciers are the big attraction at Kenai Fjords National Park, beckoning kayakers and bringing humpback whales and sea lions to its shores. It's a land where the ice age still lingers; where earthquakes and ocean storms make it a place of constant change. The park boasts mountains, waterfalls, tidewater glaciers and wildlife ranging from black bears to harbor seals. Its islands are home to sea lion haulouts and its rocky coastline and islands contain rookeries for a variety of seabirds including gulls, kittiwakes, murres, oystercatchers, cormorants and puffins.
