Khajuraho Monument Complex

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments, a Unesco World Heritage Site and one of the “Seven Wonders of India”. Originally there were over 80 Hindu temples scattered over an area of 20 square km, however only 25 are presently in a good state of preservation.  The temples were built over 200 years by Chandel Rajputs, a dynasty that ruled this part of India from the 10th to 12th Century.
