The ethnic Kyrgyz are perhaps some of the most sincere and hospitable people you’ll meet anywhere, and to be welcomed into the village of Kochkorka is a rare and unforgettable experience. One of the greatest delights on your homestay are the fabulous home-cooked meals and perhaps the laughter, as you try a few local specialties amongst a smorgasboard of hearty treats including kymys, or fermented mares milk. It might not to be your taste, but perhaps the world’s best homemade raspberry jam will be. Really. Try it.
