Lakes Crossing from Chile to Argentina

Lakes Crossing from Chile to Argentina

The mighty snowcapped Volcan Osorno stands watching as you glide over the stunning deep green waters of Lago Todos Los Santos and past the pine-forested slopes of nearby foothills. The lake (also unsurprisingly called ‘Emerald Lake’) is one of three crossed en route from Puerto Varas to Argentina’s premier alpine town, Bariloche. The isolation is total: the waters narrow, the pines seem to swallow the lake, and at last you arrive in Peulla, the final village before the border and the next leg of your watery odyssey on this, Chile’s most romantic route into Argentina.
