Mt Kailash

Western Tibet’s Mt Kailash is the source of many of Asia’s mightiest rivers – the Ganges, Karnali and Indus. Mt Kailash is considered a holy site for Buddhists, Hindus, Bonpos, Jains and trekkers alike. A pilgrimage to the mountain is made by many each year, this includes a 52km walk to circuit the mountain. The incredible journey to Mt Kailash is worth allowing time for, not only is this trek about the destination it’s also about taking you through magical western Tibet’s endless vistas and meeting the friendly and hospitable locals.
