Paro's Dzong

Insight into a unique culture set in the folds of stunning landscapes – Paro provides the perfect introduction to Bhutan. First up is the country’s national museum. Housed in an ancient building atop a rugged hill with the Himalayas nearby, the museum is particularly strong on the country’s rich religious and cultural history. After that, it’s on to Drukgyel Dzong,an atmospherically ruined monastery, photogenically nestled amidst a landscape of deep green forested hills, with the mighty peak of Mount Chomolhari haunting the horizon.
