Si Phan Don's four thousand islands

Si Phan Don's four thousand islands

Si Phan Don, or the ‘Four Thousand Islands’, refers to an incredibly scenic stretch of the Mekong River that branches off into a loose braid of smaller streams before regrouping, thus creating an array of islands in-between. On your private boat cruise to Khong Island, you’ll get to absorb the beauty of the place and meet the friendly local fishermen who catch fish with their bamboo traps. This part of the Mekong is also a habitat for the rare Irrawaddy dolphin and home to the largest waterfall in South East Asia.
