Views of Dhaulagiri and 6000-metre-deep Kali Gandaki Gorge from Danda Kharka

One of the Annapurna region’s quietest, most beautiful corners. Danda Kharka is keeper of sensational views and lies in the middle of a captivating stretch for trekkers. This is a world of beautiful extremes: from your lodge look out at Dhaulagiri, the world’s seventh highest mountain rises nearby, separated from the Annapurna Himal by Kali Gandaki Gorge, by some measurements the deepest gorge on earth, its snaking copper and green flanks and the river far below a spectacular sight. And the walking is beautiful too, with trails leading through peaceful forests of rhododendron and oak, clearings here and there giving unforgettable views of the surrounding panorama.
