Himalaya
Kathmandu’s friendly hubbub, Pokhara’s glistening jewel of a lake, Chitwan’s animals and lush forests – Nepal can surprise visitors with its variety. But it’s the mountains that provide many a visitor’s lasting memories of the country: the panoramic views from the high passes of the Everest Range and the dramatic austerity of Annapurna are bewitching sights, as marvellous and seductive as mountain scenery gets. Time spent negotiating the terrain is again full of surprises, with tough slopes mixing with gentle valleys and peaceful wooded walks. Nearby Tibet is as wonderfully exotic as destinations get – halfway to heaven and hidden from the world, this is a place that truly deserves the description ‘otherworldly’. Discovering Lhasa then exploring the surrounding scenery, including gazing on Everest’s north face, is to gain an unforgettable glimpse of an alluring, elusive world.

Chitwan Safari Extension - ex-Kathmandu

It's actually difficult to find which was the MOST memorable part. There was the day we left Kopra Ridge amidst sunshine, blue skies, clean crisp fresh air, valleys and snowy mountains with aeroplanes flying lower than where you were standing; there was the evening at Tadapani where George and Deb had us all in fits of laughter over a card game of "fish" using a pack depicting all 14 highest mountains whilst sitting on forms around a big square table under which the owners placed hot coals to keep us warm. Then there were the leeches... fascinating little critters!!! Oh, and making me a birthday cake ... how did they do that? Seeing millet growing. Seeing happy people ... thinking about less is sometimes more.
Everest Base Camp & Gokyo Lakes

Our Trek leader Gauri Thapa and Sherpas; Ramesh Tamang, Mingma Sherpa & Raj Rai were absolutely amazing, they were all very responsible, helpful, caring and great at their jobs. They made our experience enjoyable as well making us feel very safe during our trek. And our porters did a amazing job carrying all our gear so we could enjoy just walking and sight seeing. Overall the trek was completed at a good pace that helped people reach their destination.

"The scope and scale of this country is not something that can be gathered from either photos or stories. It is something that truly has to be seen to be believed"
