Classical Egypt

In Cairo, unravel the complexity of dynastic Egypt and the world’s most awe-inspiring ancient civilisation with a visit to Memphis, the necropolis of Sakkara, the first step-pyramid and the outstanding Old Kingdom tombs. Explore the magnificent Egyptian Museum, the great pyramids and Sphinx, before arriving in ancient Thebes (Luxor) to see Karnak Temple, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the splendid royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Cruise along south along the Nile to Aswan, visit Edfu Temple, the lovely ruined temple at Komombo and enjoy the charming Temple of Isis, before an optional visit to Abu Simbel. Back in Cairo, wander along the labyrinthine streets of the medieval city, discover the Gayer-Anderson Museum, the Mosque of Ibn Tulun and the celebrated Khan al-Khalili bazaar. A classic trip through classic Egypt.

This is our second trip to Egypt with Peregrine and want to thank our tour leader Kahled,  He was exceptional.  A great communicator, good personality, and lookid after us above and beyond what would have been expected of him. When a few small things went wrong, things beyond his control, ie train running 3 hours late, Kahled was so apologetic, and concerned.  His is a real asset to Peregrine.
