Egypt & Jordan Experience

The histories of Egypt and Jordan stretch back over the millennia, offering a rich and rewarding experience to inquisitive travellers. In Egypt, we visit all the major pharaonic sites in Cairo and along the Nile, take a three-night riverboat cruise, wander the back alleys of the capital’s medieval heart and climb Mount Sinai for a spectacular sunrise. Hydrofoil across the Red Sea to Jordan and usher in another realm of memorable experience – explore the sandstone landscapes of Wadi Rum, ride camels to a Bedouin desert camp and spend a night amongst the dunes. We also spend a whole day in the cooling canyons and intricately carved temples of Petra, before visiting the Crusader castle at Shobak and relaxing in the wooded, rocky nature reserve by Dana Village. The final few buoyant days of our adventure are spent swimming in the Dead Sea and exploring the remarkably well-preserved, 2000 year-old ruins of Jerash.

More information regarding the weather desert was very cold for the time of year. The trip was fantastic. As for the tour leaders Big Mo could not do any more for you, very friendly, helpful could not ask for a better tour guide. The others were also friendly. the hotels were clean but the breakfasts could be greatly improved. They dont seem to cater for western style foods.

Tour Leader Egypt - Very Satisfied with both overall leader and those taking specific sightseeing exoperiences.  Tour leader introduced little extras such as a local cafe etc for a local meal when appropriate.  Alternatives or little extras good, donkey ride through village, balloon ride, Abu Simbu etc.  Tour Leader Jordan - Did exactly what was listed and nothing more, would not answer questions or wait until group assembled to give his very brief outlines ( the group did not straggle but of course cannot be in a very tight bunch all the time).  We would really have benefitted from specific tour guides especially at Jerash.  Many in the group would have liked to go to Bethany instead of time at the Dana Valley.  Accommodation at hotels good, boat rarely had a boat moored beside it on the river side which gave us a good view, train a bit squashy.
