Jordan Explorer
The sweeping desert and echoing formations of Wadi Rum, the hidden, hand-hewn facades of Petra and the ancient Roman ruins at Jerash all make Jordan a true adventurer’s paradise. Ride camels across silent sands between majestic monoliths and sleep in a traditional tent as the Bedouin have done for centuries. And, of course, wend your way along narrow, shadowed canyons to the ornate rock temples of Petra. Splash, snorkel or bask in the Red Sea resort town of Aqaba, float in the warm, high-salt surprise of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth above sea level, explore ancient Roman cities, Mt Nebo and the crusader castle at Shobak, and you’ll confirm that Jordan’s wealth of people, food, scenery and sights make for impressive, inspiring adventure travel.

the jordan explorer is a great way to see the highlights of what jordan has to offer. this was backed by an excellent guide in magdi, who was very knowledgable in all aspects of life, history and the culture of not only jordan, but how jordan relates to both the ancient and modern worlds. He wanted us to leave with a postive experience of jordan and the spirituality of muslim culture.
the value of the trip was good, in relation to the value of the cost of living and expenses in jordan. i would recommend around 300USD as adequate amount of spending money. the level of accommadation was right, which would suit most people.
Overall jordan is an interesting country steeped in history, a safe country to travel within, with plenty on offer to travellers wanting something out of the ordinary.
