Jordan
The Middle East’s iconic sights lie in Jordan’s desert landscapes. Petra appears before visitors like a miracle, the sandstone facades at once recognisable and more utterly exotic than one can imagine. Further south, Wadi Rum is a romantic, rugged land of red earth and stunning outcrops, the perfect place for remote exploration and a desert camp. Elsewhere, Jordan offers the full fix, whatever you’re after: a buzzing souk here, a crusader castle there. Dana Nature Reserve, meanwhile, mixes lush tropical vegetation with sparse desert shrubs, an extraordinarily varied landscape within a small area – a little like Jordan itself.

Jordan Explorer

the jordan explorer is a great way to see the highlights of what jordan has to offer. this was backed by an excellent guide in magdi, who was very knowledgable in all aspects of life, history and the culture of not only jordan, but how jordan relates to both the ancient and modern worlds. He wanted us to leave with a postive experience of jordan and the spirituality of muslim culture.
the value of the trip was good, in relation to the value of the cost of living and expenses in jordan. i would recommend around 300USD as adequate amount of spending money. the level of accommadation was right, which would suit most people.
Overall jordan is an interesting country steeped in history, a safe country to travel within, with plenty on offer to travellers wanting something out of the ordinary.
