Lebanon

Lebanon

Urban pleasure-seekers: sample one of the world’s great cuisines in cosmopolitan, buzzing Beirut. Nature-hunters: walk through the enormous limestone wonderland that is the Jeitta Grottos then wander through cedar forests of biblical renown. History buffs: a tour around the enormous Roman ruins of Baalbek and a dawdle in Byblos – one of the world’s oldest inhabited spots – both await. A cavalcade of sights, but wherever you go, whatever your passion, there are constants in Lebanon: truly wonderful Arabic hospitality and a country by turns gloriously peaceful and excitedly bubbling.
