Colours of Morocco
Morocco's mountain villages, ancient cities, and medieval bazaars are a colourful fusion of Africa and Islam. Majestic mountain passes, spectacular views and beautiful, fresh local produce combine to give travellers a real sense of Moroccan culture, as does its fusion of French colonial style and Arab and Berber culture. From Tangier – the gateway to Africa – we travel south to the splendid blue hued town of Chefchaouen, we explore the imperial cities of Meknes and Fes, exploring the many streets and laneways of these ancient cities. We visit the Roman ruins at Volubilis before catching the train to Morocco's greatest city, Marrakech. Our trip ends in this magical city surrounded by the snowy peaks of the Atlas Mountains, surely the jewel in Morocco's crown.
