    Itinerary

    Day 1 - Cairo

    Your tour leader will meet you on arrival transfer you to your hotel, complete with rooftop garden and panoramic views over the minarets of Cairo. It is conveniently located in the middle of the city’s oldest quarter, where the streets and alleyways are free of cars. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore, and you are within easy walking distance of Khan al-Khalili Bazaar and Islamic Cairo. Come together for a welcome dinner this evening.

    Day 2 - Cairo

    Breakfast on the rooftop terrace is hard to beat with minarets, citadels and distant hills as far as the eye can see. Afterwards, prepare to be awestruck as you see the pyramids and the Sphinx for the first time. Explore some of the 12,000 ancient relics at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities with an Egyptologist then spend the rest of the day at leisure. Your leader can offer suggestions for dinner or feel free to head out and make your own discoveries.

    Day 3 - Luxor

    A morning flight takes you to Luxor where you’ll explore the Temple Complex of Karnak, the largest ancient religious site in the world. The Great Hypostyle Hall, where 134 vast columns soar into the sky, is one of the most staggering sights you will see in Egypt. Freshen up at your hotel and enjoy a guided tour of Luxor Temple before dinner at Sofra Restaurant.

    Day 4 - Luxor

    Wake early to uncover the mysteries of the Valley of the Kings, the exclusive precinct of tombs for all the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. You’ll also visit Queen Hatshepsut Temple, The Ramesseum and Colossi of Memnon. Deepen your connection with Egypt when you are invited into the home of a local family to share a meal before returning to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to continue exploring, swim in the pool or stroll the lush courtyards.

    Day 5~8 - Nile Cruise

    Follow in the footsteps of early 20th century royalty and sail the Nile on a traditional Dahabiya. It is the ultimate way to cruise the world’s longest river, and each cabin boasts a private ensuite. Before setting off you will visit Esna Temple and take a short walk through the local markets. Over the next four days you will sail towards El Kab to see the remains of tombs that were cut into the cliff, explore the temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo, discover the ancient sandstone quarries and rock-hewn chapels of Gebel el Silsila and explore the village of Daraw.

    Day 9 - Aswan

    Farewell your crew and set off to explore Philae Temple, the Aswan High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. This evening you will share dinner with a Nubian family in their home on Elephantine Island.

    Day 10 - Abu Simbel ~ Cairo

    Fly to Abu Simbel ~ guarded by four imposing statues of Ramses II. Return to Cairo and discover the Citadel of Salah Ed-Din, the 13th century Sultan Hassan Mosque and end your day shopping for keepsakes in the Khan al-Khalili Bazaar.

    This morning you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
