Middle East & North Africa

Cities don't come any more atmospheric or exotic than those you explore here: the busy, beautiful bazaars of Iran; Morocco's medinas, each an endless warren of inviting alleys and lanes; Jerusalem's unique blend of religious history and iconic sights; Egypt's variety, from busy-as-a-bee Cairo to languorous Aswan. And while Arab culture infuses each city, and each country, with unmistakeable, unmissable moments, the landscapes are often the star. Sleeping under the stars in the Sahara's great golden heart; walking through cedar forests mentioned in the Bible; bobbing in the Dead Sea; exploring Jordan's extraordinary Wadi Rum – all experiences that stay with travellers forever. When the land comes embellished with ancient glories, so much the better – nowhere does ruins like the Middle East. Syria' Palmyra, Iran's Persepolis and Tunisia's El Jem are all exquisite examples, but the final word should go to two of the region's blockbusters: Petra and the Pyramids. Both more glorious in reality than any postcard or photo can hope to convey, the twin stars of Jordan and Egypt really do need to be seen to be believed.

the jordan explorer is a great way to see the highlights of what jordan has to offer. this was backed by an excellent guide in magdi, who was very knowledgable in all aspects of life, history and the culture of not only jordan, but how jordan relates to both the ancient and modern worlds. He wanted us to leave with a postive experience of jordan and the spirituality of muslim culture.

the value of the trip was good, in relation to the value of the cost of living and expenses in jordan. i would recommend around 300USD as adequate amount of spending money. the level of accommadation was right, which would suit most people.

Overall jordan is an interesting country steeped in history, a safe country to travel within, with plenty on offer to travellers wanting something out of the ordinary.

Outstanding. Excellent itinerary, hotels and transportation. Or guide could not have been better. We will certainly recommend Peregrine and Mr. Tarek Ibrahim to all our friends who might travel to Egypt.

Thank you.
