Notes
The Normal Route does not present any technical difficulty and an ascent is possible to achieve without previous mountaineering experience, provided you prepare well, both physically and mentally for the climb.
This climbing program is a maximum of 21 Days. This consists of 17 days for the standard program plus an additional 2 Days that Peregrine has allowed for extended altitude acclimatisation (making a total of 19 Days). In addition, a further 2 Days can be allowed as a contingency in the event of bad weather during the summit attempt allowing you the best opportunity to reach the summit. Should weather conditions be favourable, your climbing program will finish back in Mendoza on Day 19, after breakfast. We strongly recommend that your flights are not booked to leave Mendoza until Day 21. Only one night of hotel accommodation is included at the end in Mendoza so should your program end before Day 21 you will be required to pay for any additional accommodation required
Climbing permits are not included in the cost. Allow approx US$350. Permits must be applied for in person on Day 2.
