Enchanted Galapagos
The magic of the Galapagos is evident the moment we board our vessel – the M.Y. San Jose. We are greeted by a fascinating collection of wildlife – the same types of exotic animals that greeted Charles Darwin on his epic journey there in 1831. Our journey takes us to Isabela Island, a place not visited on many of the regular voyages. Our journey off-the-beaten-track rewards us immensely as this is the largest and one of the youngest islands in the Galapagos, crowned by five majestic and active volcanic craters. Isabela is also home to an incredible array of wildlife including more giant tortoises than all the other islands put together. We get to snorkel with turtles, swim with iguanas, penguins and sea lions and observe magnificent greater flamingos in their colourful splendour - all part of a memorable excursion in Mother Nature’s playground!
