    Itinerary

    Day 1 - Lima

    Arrive early to explore the historic Barranco district around your hotel. Come together for dinner at La Huaca Pucllana Restaurant, which overlooks some pre-Incan ruins that you will later head out to explore.

    Day 2 - Lima

    Step back into Lima’s pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern eras on a walking tour of the historic centre. The rest of the day is free to make your own discoveries. Your tour leader is on hand to suggest ideas for lunch and dinner.

    Day 3 - Sacred Valley

    Fly to Cusco after breakfast and drive to the Sacred Valley. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon relaxing in the spa and wellness centre or recline on a sun lounge with a pisco sour in hand.

    Day 4 - Sacred Valley

    Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Pisac, including a tour of the ruins and the local market. Visit Ollantaytambo, which is surrounded by the sacred mountains, and then take part in a cooking class.

    Day 5 - Machu Picchu

    All aboard the glass-enclosed Vistadome train to the base of Machu Picchu. After speeding past soaring peaks, dramatic canyons and colourful villages you can spend the afternoon uncovering the ancient treasures of Machu Picchu.

    Day 6 - Machu Picchu ~ Cusco

    Hiram Bingham spent years exploring Machu Picchu, so why not head back today for another look? Go at your own pace then take one of the world’s great train journeys aboard the Hiram Bingham Train to Cusco ~ enjoy dinner onboard.

    Day 7 - Cusco

    Take a guided walk of the old town and visit the nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman (pronounced ‘sexy woman’). This evening you will take part in the ‘Golden Dinner’ at Cusco’s Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, hosted by renowned chef Coque Ossio. Indulge in a seven-course gourmet dinner surrounded by the museum’s gold artefacts.

    Day 8 - Puno ~ Lake Titicaca

    Travel to Puno by road, taking in the passing scenery of mountains and rolling plains. Stop along the way at Andahuylillas, Raqchi and Pucara to break up the journey. Arrive at Lake Titicaca in the late afternoon, where you will be met and transferred to your resort with time to freshen up before dinner.

    Day 9 - Lake Titicaca

    Titilaka is an all-inclusive resort where you can take part in a variety of optional activities. Hike to Titilaka Arch, visit the Uros floating islands, kayak on the lake, visit markets and indigenous communities or cycle to the Altiplano.

    Day 10 - Lima

    It’s time to head home with a camera full of memories and a suitcase bulging with keepsakes. A private transfer takes you to the airport for a flight back to Lima, where your journey ends on arrival.
