Burma
While some of its neighbours are mainstays of newspaper travel supplements, Burma remains a secret, an intriguing mystery. No wonder, then, a journey here is so full of surprises. Compelling, enchanting sights abound: the one-leg rowing and floating markets of the Intha people; Rangoon's atmospheric colonial architecture; and Pagan's extraordinary collection of thousands of Buddhist temples, surely a dark horse in the stakes for the region's greatest sight. But, for a country with such a troubling political situation, perhaps the biggest surprise is Burma's people. The genuine welcome and gregarious warmth visitors receive is humbling. Come and discover the people and their land while it's still a secret.

It is a delightful trip and the beauty of the pagodas will amaze, as will the wonderful landscape of Lake Inle.

it is a MUST!!!! and take lots of things to give away to the local population; shampoo, soap, pens, medicine, sanitary products, clothing etc. it will create bonds of friendship and let them know that not everyone in the West has forgotten about their plight.

"it is a MUST!!!! and take lots of things to give away to the local population. This was my 3rd Peregrine trip and Win our guide was the best. The hotels were some of the best I have stayed in. Overall I thought this trip was excellent, not a thing went wrong and it was great value for money. I think Mynamar is a very good tourist destination.
