Thailand

Thailand may get its fair share of visitors, but such is the strength of its culture, so numerous are the country’s magnificent sights, so varied are the landscapes and regions, that every visitor here creates their own unique Thailand. For some, time spent with the hill tribes of the north is the highlight, an exotic encounter in a verdant land. For others, think of Thailand and images of Koh Pha-Ngan’s sands and Krabi’s iconic coastal karsts come to mind – this is after all as perfect a beach culture as you’re ever likely to find. Or maybe it’s the temples of Sukhothai that linger longest, or throbbing Bangkok and cultured Chiang Mai, alive with night bazaars and the country’s finest cuisine. Explore this fascinating country, and decide for yourself your favourite Thailand.

Mekong Explorer

The Mekong Explorer trip was an excellent introduction to Laos and Cambodia. The tour leaders were friendly and knowledgeable and took great care of us. Overall the value for money was good.
One main point of feedback would be to encourage Australians to get their Laos visa before arrival. The border crossing wasa shambles and it took several hours of crammed queuing to get the visa sorted. The other is to remind customers that some of the areas visited are quite remote. After the wheel came off our minibus to Phonsovan there were little choices in terms of getting the bus fixed and an already long day of travel turned into a 12 hour + day.
The Cambodia guide, Kheang, rates a special mention for his care and attention and willingness to share his personal stories as an insight into the history of Cambodia.

Amazing Thailand

We had no expectations prior to joining this tour, as both my wife and I had not been to south east Asia before. It took us through the city, the country side, and the mountainside which allowed us to "sample" all aspects of this amazing country. Our highlight would definitely have been staying at the Elephant Conservation Park in Lampang!
