Bosnia-Herzegovina is emerging as another of Europe’s southern darlings – and with pearly lakes and quaint historical villages, it isn’t hard to see why.
Barely discovered Bosnia is strange enough to be interesting, but familiar enough to dive into. With a culture inflected by periods of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian and Yugoslavian rule, there’s such a wealth of history here. In the idyllic towns of Jajce and Bihać, old churches, forts and towers rest in flourishing scenery of waterfalls and rivers. The capital of Sarajevo has bounced back from the war with restored streets; mosques and churches within meters from one another, and a lovely old Turkish quarter, Baščaršija.

Great, well organised trip with a fantastic guide. Perfect amount of free time and included activities. Very interesting and moving to learn about the history of this area in particular the period during the Balkan War.

So very happy that we chose this tour! Discovering the stunning beauty of Slovenia; exploring Croatia with its magnificent coastline, medieval 'stari grads' (old towns), and incredibly green islands; then experiencing the history and culture of the less-visited, but so interesting, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia. Just wonderful!
