Take the ultimate family holiday on a private tour

An Egyptian reunion

Last year I travelled on a customised Peregrine Private Groups tour in Egypt with my Mum and Aunty who are both in their 60s. My parents have lived abroad for more than twenty years and I wanted to meet my Mum somewhere special for her birthday. Being apart, particularly as get older, you realise how precious time is, and the value of making memories over collecting material possessions. There were too many highlights to mention and so many laughs – like watching my Mum and Aunty throwback warm wine like naughty teenagers on our overnight train ride! My next mission; take my dad on an African safari… - Jenny, age 37

India our way

I’d always wanted to take my family to one of my favourite destinations – India – but they had many of the usual reservations around getting sick and what the toilets would be like. I never thought I would convince them to go until I suggested a personalised Peregrine Private Groups Tour. Myself, my older sister, my Mum and Aunty all said they felt completely reassured thanks to our local leader Chetan. I loved watching my family members push themselves outside of their comfort zones and seeing them grow from their experiences and immersion in the local culture. The memories we shared together are so special to me. - Jess, age 27

A Balkans Birthday

As an adult who emigrated to Australia from Wales, I was always looking for ways to meet up with my Mum, so we decided to take a Peregrine tour to Croatia for her 75th birthday.  We spent her birthday exploring Plitvice Lakes – we had a stunning day followed by cocktails and dinner with the family and our amazing tour leader Carla where we shared lots of laughs. Another highlight was sitting on the marble steps at the sea’s edge in Zadar listening to the haunting melody of the Sea Organ as the waves rushed in and out – it’s a sound like nothing else. - Sarah, age 52

A Japanese pilgrimage

In 2016, my wife and my two daughters (aged 18 and 20) went to Japan. We were in that 'this might be the last trip we take together as a family' mindset. Japan seemed like a good choice for us; we could spend half the time doing the things we wanted (like exploring small villages) and the other half doing what the girls wanted (like visiting cat cafes in Tokyo). By taking a customised tour where we could combine all our interests, we really appreciated each other’s opinions and stories and related to one and other more. That’s what family travel is all about for me. - Rich, age 47
