Soaring 5,895 metres above the surrounding farmland and forest, Kilimanjaro is both Africa’s highest peak and the world’s highest freestanding mountain. Boasting everything from an active volcano to lush rainforest, vast glaciers to meandering alpine moors, it’s not surprising that the mountain’s snowy peak attracts so many visitors.
What makes a Kilimanjaro trek appealing to so many travellers is that the summit can be reached by trekkers with minimal technical climbing experience; there are no ropes, belays or chimneying. That said, the trek is not for the faint-hearted – a good level of fitness is required and altitude sickness is a very real danger. It’s important to prepare in advance and allow time to acclimatise to the reduced oxygen levels.
Climbing to the top of Africa on a Peregrine Kilimanjaro tour is a major achievement for the bold adventurer – will you rise to the challenge?

Serengeti & Ngorongoro Experience - Independent, August 2017
Our Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti experience was excellent. Our guide focussed on our requests (in particular to see a leopard) and provide a wealth of information on the local habitat, wildlife and local culture.

Ngorongora Crater and the Serengeti Plains are unique and must be on the bucket list for travellers wanting to experience Africa's Big Five animals in their natural state. A good driver/tour leader is essential - Asaya from Peregrine/Intrepid was excellent. Upsides include the amazing range of animals and birds we saw, good food and accommodation and generally friendly people. Main downside is the very poor roads and old un-iarconditioned vehicles

Serengeti & Ngorongoro Experience - Independent, September 2016
Our guide Isaya showed his experience to go above and beyond. We saw so much in the time we were doing this safari and had a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Would definitely recommend.
