Map of Cruise Croatia: Dubrovnik to Split via Zadar including Bosnia And Herzegovina and Croatia

Cruise the aquamarine waters of the Adriatic Sea, stopping at Croatia's sun-drenched islands.

Discover the jewels that decorate the glittering crown that is the Adriatic Sea during this 15-day cruise along the Dalmatian Coast. While treasures like Hvar and Split are no secret to travellers, our small ship enables us to explore lesser-known towns and islands, stepping right off the boat onto cobblestone streets. Stroll through enchanting alleyways in Mostar, dive into unbelievably blue waters off the coast of Kornati National Park’s many islands and sustain yourself on a diet of fresh seafood and local wines along the way.

Why you'll love this trip

  • We drop anchor in port towns like Hvar or Korcula, not far out at sea like large cruise liners, so you can hop on and off the boat as you please.

  • There’s nothing like diving into the aquamarine waters of the Dalmatian Coast. Weather permitting, our captain will be stopping the ship for regular swim breaks, and you can jump right off the side of the boat into the ocean.

  • Visit the stunning Kornati National Park, the biggest and most incredible collection of islands in the entire Adriatic Sea, once described by playwright George Bernard Shaw as God's special creation made of 'tears, stars and breath'.

  • Experience the Sea Organ in Zadar, an incredible marriage of acoustical engineering and historical art – with a glass of sparkling wine at sunset, no less!

  • A nice, easy guided walk in Plitivice Lakes National Park is the ideal way to experience this World Heritage-listed wonder

  • This itinerary includes a special detour to Mostar, in Boznia and Herzegovina. It’s not a stop featured on many Croatian coastal tours. You’ll see the town’s iconic bridge and have the chance to chat with local craftsmen and metalworkers.

Is this trip right for you?

  • This is a small ship adventure cruise, which means you’ll be sailing on a yacht with up to 30 other people. The boat is spacious and comfortable, but it focuses more on the destination than on-board activities. Instead of a pool, we have the sea itself. Instead of a casino, we’ve got board games and a good book. There’s also no formal dress code to worry about. Wi-Fi is available for a small charge.

  • Our ship moves under engine power, rather than sailing, so all cabins will experience light engine noise when the ship is moving (and occasionally when we drop anchor). It’s probably worth packing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

  • Unlike other ships that cruise through the night, we’ll spend our evenings docked at port. This will give you more time to dine ashore and enjoy those balmy Croatian evenings. Cruising will mostly take place during the day.

  • Onshore activities and excursions will involve a bit of walking. You’ll be visiting ancient sites and historical places, and at times you may have to cross cobbled streets and uneven ground, sometimes in hot conditions. If you have any concerns, please speak to your group leader before taking part.

  • If you’re concerned about seasickness, there are seasickness tablets on-board. The ship will experience some roll and pitch in choppy conditions, however all of our ships come equipped with stabilisers to minimise movement. Most of our departures run in peak season, when the seas are calmer. Your crew will do all they can to minimise any discomfort.

  • There are no lifts (elevators) on-board our ships, so you’ll have to navigate a few steep flights of stairs. Handrails are always available.

Travel to Zadar, the oldest continuously inhabited city in Croatia, you'll take a walking tour with a local guide. This includes admittance to St Donatus Church, an imposing 9th-century domed building still used for music performance. Later in the afternoon you'll head to the unique Sea Organ, which generates music via sea waves, using tubes placed beneath a set of broad marble stairs. It's not only a profound piece of art, highlighting the long history of the town, but also a feat of engineering. As darkness falls you'll enjoy a glass of sparkling wine at nearby Greeting to the Sun, an in-ground monument consisting of 300 multi-layered glass plates in a 22-metre (72 foot) diameter circle that produces a stunning show of light after dark. It works in tandem with the Sea Organ -- one communicates with light, the other with sound.
