You didn’t come all this way to rush around ticking items off a list while catching glimpses of the world through a coach window.
At Peregrine we like to travel at a more considered pace and believe that getting from A to B should be a comfortable experience. So most of the transport you take will be private, which generally means air-conditioned minibuses with modern safety features. Private transport means less waiting around, a little more flexibility in each destination and being able to go where the big tour buses can’t.
Where possible we dabble in some interesting local transport, such as the Glacier Express train in Switzerland, watching locals go by as you raft down a river in Vietnam or taking a camel safari across the Sahara. It not only helps you get a feel for the rhythms of local life, but minimises the impact on the places we visit. These aren’t your primary means of getting from A to B, but they add a little authenticity and fun into the mix.
