Walking on rocky and/or steep hillsides is involved with site visits on this trip, so please bring sturdy, comfortable walking shoes.

Turkey can get hot in the summer months of July and August but this is normally a dry heat and easier to cope with than humidity. Where possible we try and visit sites in the early morning before it gets too hot.

The weather can also get quite cold in the winter months, especially when you visit Anzac Cove, so please be prepared with appropriate clothing.

We use a variety of private and shared transport on this trip.

Itinerary
This evening you will meet your local guide for a quick welcome meeting you will be treated to a fest at a local family's home as well as other oh so Turkish pursuits: drinking tea, playing backgammon, and hitting the water pipe!
Enjoy your home cooked feast and learn about their cultural customs and about life in modern day Turkey.
After a traditional turkish meal, there’s a chance to try two of Turkey’s favourite pastimes - tea drinking and Narglie (waterpipe) smoking. Sit back, relax and enjoy. At the end of the adventure you are free to return to your hotel or continue your own personal exploration of Istanbul.

Please note you may be joined with other like minded travellers for the Home Cooked meal experience in IstanbulPlease note that we will use a shared mini bus to travel to Eceabat.
After lunch take guided tour of of the historical site of Troy. Discover the history behind the famous archaeological site of Troy and see a replica statue of the Trojan Horse. Then, delve into the interesting era’s of Troy and discover how this settlement transformed over time.
After we will return to Eceabat for the night

Great trip to troy and gallipoli, our guide Tolga was very knowledgable about all the places we visited as well as lots of general info on everyday stuf that we asked. Trip was tailored to our needs, small group makes it easier to see and learn about the things thst interested us most. Great accomodation
