Embark on safaris, canoe trips and walking tours around the wildlife-rich Pantanal wetlands

With few people and no towns, the Pantanal is almost as remote as you can get. Named after a Portuguese word meaning bog or swamp, this is the world’s largest wetland area. Imagine England and Wales entirely covered by sweeping tropical floodplains and you start to get a picture of the Pantanal’s immensity. Journey into the wetlands to witness the region’s myriad flora and fauna and to learn more about this fascinating and biologically diverse ecosystem.
