Cruise along the Adriatic coast from Croatia to Greece, taking in Montenegro and Albania along the way

Following the lead of their neighbours Croatia and Greece, Montenegro and Albania are emerging as some of the most exciting destinations in Europe. This 8-day small ship adventure cruise offers a fascinating insight into the past and the region’s rich cultural diversity. The best way to experience the Balkans is from the shimmering waters of the Adriatic Sea. Board the M/S Panorama, which offers the highest standard of accommodation, comfort and safety, and cruise from the iconic city walls of Dubrovnik to the romantic and evocative Old Town of Korcula. Turn south for Montenegro, home to pristine natural landscapes and rustic towns oozing old-Europe charm. Continue the voyage to Greece, stopping at the olive-groved island of Paxos and the Ionian Islands’ Grand Lady, Corfu. In Saranda, Albania, find a slice of the Riviera, then dock near the secluded bay of 5th-century Kotor. Refreshing swim stops, local wine tastings and fortified towns, this Adriatic adventure has all the ingredients for a memorable journey.

Why we love this trip

  • Experience the coastal beauty and fascinating heritage of four different Adriatic countries on this 8-day voyage

  • Navigate the dramatic fjord-like Bay of Kotor and alight to get lost in the crooked alleyways of its pretty medieval waterside town

  • Lie back on the sundeck under the sails of the M/S Panorama, your beautiful state-of-the-art yacht

Is this trip right for you?

  • This is small ship cruising. Our ships are beautiful and very comfortable, but they do not have all the facilities of large passenger ships. There is no pool (other than the sea), and no entertainment is put on, other than on theme nights. Dress is extremely casual at all times.

  • As much as possible, any long periods of cruising will take place at night so that days can be spent exploring. As this is a small ship, most cabins will experience some engine noise. A pair of earplugs may be a good item to bring with you.

  • Onshore activities and excursions will involve walking. As you will be visiting ancient sites and historical places, some of this walking may be over cobbled streets and uneven ground in potentially hot conditions. If you have any concerns, please speak to the Cruise Co-ordinator before taking part.

After arrival to Budva we have a short walk to the Old Town, which lies on a little island that was linked to the land by a sandbar and in time turned into a peninsula. It is surrounded by ramparts originating from the XV century including a medieval fortification system with city gates, defense walls and towers. Inside the walls the town is a combination of narrow streets and little squares with monuments of different Mediterranean cultures that marked its development. Today Budva is a center of tourism and a city of theatre, festivals and celebrations.
At the end of the tour, we will have some free time to wander around the tiny streets, or swim at the nearby popular town beach.
On the way back to Bar, we will stop for a panoramic view over the luxurious St. Steven island. Once a fishing village on a rock in the sea, it is now a modern resort connected to the mainland.
